The froe tool is used for splitting wood is a tried and true design made a long time ago. Our version has altered the age old design to help ease the process, a froe is similar to using traditional wedges but offer more control over the split and allows for wider and thinner pieces to be made. The froe is best used with a wood or rubber mallet so that it does not ruin the backside of the blade.
